Hoorah! We're excited for you to bring this challenge into your community. As an informal educator, you should not register as a teacher. However, you can definitely participate with your students!
There are three main ways for informal educators to participate:
1. If you are conducting a workshop, camp, or session with students and plan to submit entries as a part of your activity, please have each of your students register individually with their parent at the start of the workshop (or even beforehand!) Students can register by following the Individual Student registration steps found here. A parent will be sent an email to complete registration if the student is under 18. Once registered, students will need their username and password at your workshop in order to login and submit their final entry.
2. If you would like to participate and encourage students to "take-home" their ideas to submit after they leave your museum, library, camp, or after-school program, you are welcome to use the activity worksheet to help make that connection.

3. If you would like to promote the challenge to your networks of schools and families - that's also wonderful! Feel free to distribute the contest flyer to your networks. If you would like access to the contest media kit with shareable social graphics please email support@futureengineers.org.
