Step 5: Create your first class. Students will see the name of this class on their dashboard.
Step 6: Add a challenge to your class. Your students can only submit to challenges that you add to the class. If there are no open challenges or if you are registering to attend an event, please select SKIP FOR NOW.
***Note for NASA TechRise: Please select SKIP FOR NOW ***
Step 7: Agree to the Terms and Conditions. Once you agree, you will be sent an email. Please confirm your email to complete registration.
Step 8: Welcome to your teacher dashboard! Now let's get your class roster populated by registering your students. There are two ways for your students to register (if not using Google Classroom).
- RECOMMENDED: Give your class code to your students and ask them to self register using the class code. In the example below the class code is 594XCU -OR-
- Manually register your students via your dashboard by following steps 9- 10 below.
Step 9: Register Your Students
Go to the STUDENT CENTER in your teacher dashboard and click on REGISTER STUDENTS MANUALLY. A form will pop up where you can register students one at a time. Each student will be automatically linked to your class. Remember to give the usernames and passwords to your students.
Every student that you manually register, or that self-registers using your class code, will be listed in your class roster. Each student in your roster is eligible to submit an entry for the challenges you have added to that class.
Step 10: Your students can access their account and submit entries by clicking LOGIN in the upper right-hand corner of the Future Engineers platform. You can also provide students with this direct link: https://www.futureengineers.org/account/login. Your students will need the username and password you created for them.
