The following instructions are for K-12 teachers participating in the Future Creatures Challenge, Action Contraption, Robot Design, or Battelle Climate Challenge. Please note there are new beta features to give and share feedback with your students.
STEP 1: LOG IN TO YOUR DASHBOARD
Go to www.futureengineers.org, log in to your teacher dashboard, and select the class name and the challenge name "Future Creatures."
STEP 2: NAVIGATE TO YOUR STUDENT ROSTER
Scroll down to see your student roster. On the right-hand side of your student roster, you will notice the feedback column. This is where you can review and approve this feedback to pass it on to your students' dashboard or not approve it to keep it internal to you and take an optional teacher survey.
STEP 3: VIEW AND APPROVE/DECLINE JUDGE FEEDBACK
To view and approve judge feedback, please do the following:
- Please select "View Feedback" in the student roster to review the judge feedback for each student's entry.
- The pop-up window will display feedback, as shown in the example below.
- Approve feedback, click the CHECKMARK button. This will send the feedback to your student.
- Decline feedback, click the "X" button. This will NOT send feedback to your student.
- Use the arrow on the edge of the pop-up window to scroll and review additional judge feedback to approve/decline.
- Note: Your students will be able to see up to three of the approved judge cards.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Once all judge feedback cards have been reviewed for a particular student, please click "SEND FEEDBACK" at the bottom of the screen to finalize your selections.
- Click the "Take Survey" button to take an optional teacher survey.

What Your Students See:
When the students log in, their dashboard will look similar to the image below. If there is feedback, there will be a button to click to view their feedback.
Once the student clicks the "Take Survey #2/View Feedback" button, they will see a pop-up window that displays up to three Judge Feedback cards regardless of the number of cards you approved for viewing (we're working on capabilities to show more).
Students will be asked to rate how useful the feedback is for helping them make specific changes to their project. Additionally, Students can select the "Click for Survey" button to participate in an optional short survey.
